ftp server
Traditionally on european camping events we have the kogge as ftp server with us. A [kogge] is a north european early centouries cargo ship.
But as flying over the atlantic with a 50 pound heavy metal server containing a lot of big sata drives is close to unaffordeable we need a different solution.
We will try to set up a ftp server, preload it with some stuff - like all ccc videos - and try to make it availible with a higher speed there.
irc server
we usually gather around on the hackint irc network. The plan is to bring a ircd with us and connect it to the hackint network onsite, so even when internet fails we have irc. And isnt that second most important?

Sure there will be a party including a rockband.

As you probably know milliways is a restaurant - and on a nuke base pretty much at the end of the universe.
So we will have food. We will have to have food to be taken seriously.
We hired the most awesome cook on the galaxy to cook food.
Ideas:
- Food just for us.
- Food for anyone throwing money?
- Food for anyone, collecting donation money?
- Food for us and food for sale...?
For that we need some infrastructure. On camp2007 we had 3 big stoves and some mass capable tools around.
What do we need for toorcamp...?
F00D Update
We've decided to only buy enough food for ourselves. The plan is to collect money for grocery shopping after coming up with a menu and determining dietary restrictions. We've already decided that the buy in will be $25/day in order to construct a budget and menus. You might think $25/day seems high given raw ingredients in bulk are cheap, but this also accommodates overhead like additional coolers, cold packs, ice, dry ice, etc...
Menu Ideas:
Lunch/Dinner
- Grilled Fish on first night (brought fresh on ice from Pike's Market)
- Cheese Burgers, Bratwurst, Boca Burgers + Fixings: Sour Kraut, Dill Pickles, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Ketchup, Mustard
- Corn on the Cob
- Bread
- Salad
Breakfast
- Fresh brewed iced mate
- Coffee
- scrambled eggs & cheese
- Oatmeal & brown sugar
- French Toast
- Pancakes
- Bacon &/or Breakfast Sausage
Disclaimer: I'm not a vegetarian, if you want to see more vegetarian options, don't tell me the vegetarian entrees are missing, but suggest things you want to eat!

Geodesic Dome
Ben and Dave have completed some geodesic domes for ToorCamp. If you are in the Seattle area and are interested in learning how to build geodesic domes, please contact Ben!
Our first dome is done, it's a 2v dome with a 8.5 foot radius, picture here!
We're building domes out of EMT steel conduit.

- Beer Keg Jockey Box Coil Cooler & Tapping Kit w/ 5 lb CO2 canister
- 2x 8.5' (2.6m) radius geodesic domes w/ parachutes for shade
- weber 2 burner grill, propane, & grill tools
- Multiple Water Jugs
